Creative Writing.

Rachel is currently revising her coming-of-age novel Fugue, experimenting with a musical substructure. You can follow her progress via her Substack, A Work in Process.

Her essay was published in the book, Mothers’ Days, featuring accounts of an ordinary Monday—15 July 2019—by mother artists around the world. Compiled by Lenka Clayton for her Artist Residency in Motherhood (ARiM), the book debuted in Labor: Motherhood & Art in 2020, the inaugural exhibition of the University Art Museum at New Mexico State University.

Editorial & Academic.

Rachel has written long-form articles for Technikart on subjects such as Brooklyn gang culture and a Superfund canal, as well as reviews of art, architecture, film and photography for Planet Magazine and Art Observed, conducting interviews with luminaries like Errol Morris, Snarkitecture and Viviane Sassen.

Her MA dissertation looked at the use of blood as a medium of contemporary art practice in the oeuvres of women artists Regina José Galindo, Ana Mendieta and Adrian Piper.
